My Favorite Things

Hey there!

Hope you’re enjoying your visit so far. I’m so proud of you for taking the time for yourself today.

To help you along your self care journey, here are a few of my favorite things that always leave me refreshed and recharged. I am not being paid to promote any of these products. I’ve simply taken the time to consume or use these things and visit these places. Obviously, they’ve blown me away enough to share it with my friendships – YOU!!

Thanks for visiting!

As I get older, I often hear the phrase, “age gracefully” in my head. I’ve never been one for skin rituals or pampering sessions, but again, with age, comes wisdom – or necessity.

Since I’ve never had a go-to brand, I’ve spent he last year sampling a ton of recommended (& perhaps, not so recommended) products. I’ve grown quite fond of keeping things simple, so here are a few of my favorite no hassle – but massive impact – products.

Ok. So I have a slight obsession with candles. I truly can’t help myself. There’s something about the ambiance candles help create. It not only relaxes me, but lighting a candle evokes clarity, presence, and mindfulness.

Selecting the scent of the day is dependent on what I need to accomplish at that moment. Certain candles help me escape or daydream. Others act as my aromatherapy. My favorite though are the ones that make me productive. I know. Leave it to me to find a use for something not meant for what I’m using it for. No worries. Regardless of what your reasons are for wanting to use candles, I’m sure that you’ll enjoy some of these.

Life seems a bit fresher with a beautiful and fragrant reminder within sight at all times. I LOVE fresh flowers. Now, my husband knows that I am anti-flowers on Hallmark holidays BUT he also understands my must-have farmers market flower trips!!

I cherish the flower selection process. Walking all around the garden or the market allows me to get away from my day-to-day and escape into such a sweet and peaceful moment. I adore my flower prepping sessions, as well. There’s something soothing about caring for these beauties. Of course – my fave, I love arranging the stems into my little masterpiece.

well·ness

/ˈwelnəs/noun

  1. the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal.

Wellness is an important part of my daily and weekly routines. My daily habits were developed to better achieve my weekly goals. My weekly goals must be achieved to maintain a healthy family and personal balance – not to mention my sanity. Wellness is not an end goal that one needs to achieve. Rather it’s an active pursuit of intentionality, authenticity, and emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

Cooking is my favorite outlet. My experience in the kitchen is driven and fed by my desire to spoil my family and friends.

Here are a few of my favorite recipes that always gets the best feedback.

Where else might I be inspired to cook other than from the great chefs all over the world. From large and extravagant restaurants and menus to the quaint hole in the walls & humble tapas or small plates, I’m going to share my best eats with you.
